Knee Replacement in India - Hip Replacement Surgery in India | Rejuve India Meditour

Orthopaedics

Due to a lot of factors like age, sedentary lifestyles and inadequate diets a lot of changes appear in the musculoskeletal system and a study and correction of all these disorders of the muscle, joint and ligaments are collectively called Orthopedics. Some of the most common procedures preformed under orthopaedics are joint replacements. Hip replacement and Knee replacement surgery in India are one of the most established and routine procedures performed in some of the most advanced hospitals in India. The surgeon replaces the joint with an artificially fabricated joint of alloy and plastic that functions as a real joint and relieves the patients of severe pain. A lot of people from all over the world travel for a knee replacement surgery in India because of the low costs and proven competency. For instance a knee replacement surgery in India would cost around $6000 to $9000 in an accredited hospital, whereas knee replacement would cost $10,700 to $13,200 in Thailand and $4500 in the US.

Knee Replacement

Knee replacement, or knee arthroplasty, is a surgical procedure to replace the weight-bearing surfaces of the knee joint to relieve pain and disability. It is most commonly performed for osteoarthritis,[1] and also for other knee diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis. In patients with severe deformity from advanced rheumatoid arthritis, trauma, or long standing osteoarthritis, the surgery may be more complicated and carry higher risk. Osteoporosis does not typically cause knee pain, deformity, or inflammation and is not a reason to perform knee replacement.

Hip Replacement

Hip replacement is a surgical procedure in which the hip joint is replaced by a prosthetic implant. Hip replacement surgery can be performed as a total replacement or a hemi (half) replacement. Such joint replacement orthopaedic surgery is generally conducted to relieve arthritis pain or fix severe physical joint damage as part of hip fracture treatment.

Knee Arthroscopy and Chondroplasty

Arthroscopy (also called arthroscopic surgery) is a minimally invasive surgical procedure in which an examination and sometimes treatment of damage of the interior of a joint is performed using an arthroscope, a type of endoscope that is inserted into the joint through a small incision.

Shoulder arthroscopy and debridement

Shoulder arthroscopy is done though small incisions with the aid of mounted instruments and a television screen.

Lumbar spinal fusion

Spinal fusion, also known as spondylodesis or spondylosyndesis, is a surgical technique used to join two or more vertebrae. Supplementary bone tissue, either from the patient (Autograft) or a donor (Allograft), is used in conjunction with the body's natural bone growth (Osteoblastic) processes to fuse the vertebrae. Combine the spine is used mainly to remove the pain effect by abnormal motion of the vertebrae by immobilizing the faulty vertebrae themselves, which is usually caused by degenerative conditions.

Low back intervertebral disc surgery

Artificial disc replacement (ADR), or total disc replacement (TDR), is a type of arthroplasty. It is a surgical procedure in which degenerated intervertebral discs in the spinal column are replaced with artificial devices in the lumbar (lower) or cervical (upper) spine. The procedure is used to treat chronic, severe low back pain and cervical pain resulting from degenerative disc disease.

Carpal Tunnel Release

Release of the transverse carpal ligament is known as "carpal tunnel release" surgery. It is recommended when there is static (constant, not just intermittent) numbness, muscle weakness, or atrophy, and when night-splinting no longer controls intermittent symptoms.

Repair of Ankle Fracture

An ankle fracture is a break of the ankle bones. It means that the ankle is broken down for more then one joints. Treatment for ankle fracture is according to the damage to the ankle, Non-Surgical and Surgical treatment. In non-surgical treatment, fracture may be treated with a short leg cast or a removable brace. And in surgical treatment, fracture can be treated by operations.

Repair of femoral shaft Fracture

A femoral fracture that involves the femoral head, femoral neck or the shaft of the femur immediately below the lesser trochanter may be classified as a hip fracture, especially when associated with osteoporosis.

Repair of trochanteric Fracture

A hip fracture is a femoral fracture[1] that occurs in the proximal end of the femur (the long bone running through the thigh), near the hip.

Repair of rotator cuff tendon

A rotator cuff tear is a tear of one or more of the tendons of the four rotator cuff muscles. A rotator cuff injury can include any type of irritation or damage to the rotator cuff muscles or tendons.Rotator cuff tears are among the most common conditions affecting the shoulder.

Tendon Repairs

Tendinosis, sometimes called chronic tendinitis, tendinosus, chronic tendinopathy, or chronic tendon injury, is damage to a tendon at a cellular level (the suffix "osis" implies a pathology of chronic degeneration without inflammation).

Nerve Grafts

Nerve graft is worn when patient has some damage in there nerve resulting in complete loss of muscle function or sensation.A nerve graft is a surgical treatment nerve is used to replace or bridge an injured portion of nerve. Neuroregeneration refers to the regrowth or repair of nervous tissues, cells or cell products. Such mechanisms may include generation of new neurons, glia, axons, myelin, or synapses.
